The best way is to take the Trolley from La Mesa to Old Town. Then take the Coaster train up to Carlsbad to Pointsettia Station then take a connecting NCTD bus to Legoland. If you go to this site and enter in your address/starting point and enter in Legoland as your destination and what date and time you want to travel it will give you different options to get there: http://sdcommute.com/TripPlanner/index.asp
