What is the accuracy of Yahoo's travel distances?
maps.yahoo.com suggested a route between my home in La Mesa, CA and my chiropractor's office in Encinitas, CA; the driving distance shown was 30.39 miles. I drove the route exactly as stipulated and the actual mileage shown on my odometer was 30.5 miles. What is more interesting is that following the same exact route back to my residence, my odometer showed that the return trip was 31 miles. So how accurate is Yahoo's driving distances? My insurance company wants to know also.

They are pretty accurate, but mapquest is better

i think it is actually pretty accurate...it might be off by a few miles but i drove from phoenix,az to san fran,ca and it was close
